This week's Foto Friday Challenge was captioned

Jude has been walking around with 4 hats on his head all week.
It cracks me up. :)

Selah loves to help me hang up the clothes, or rather, play with hangers.  :)
Next week's challenge is green...something we are all ready to see outside. :)

Extremely Edible!! And Delicious!
Jeff's famous pecan crusted bacon...mmmm!
Mexican Omelet, yum!
Eggs Benedict Florentine, wow!

Today's Foto Friday challenge was Edible. This was a bit of a stretch because I don't capture pictures too often of food. I have lots of cute pictures of incredibly edible babies, but I really want to try to get food shots this week. So this was the perfect place to showcase some dishes from our new favorite restaurant! You might think we are biased because some dear friends just opened this place, but really, the food is GREAT and the atmosphere so comfortable, relaxing and extremely pleasant! We are so excited for our friends. We had to go there for breakfast to have our favorite- Jeff's pecan bacon!! The kids shared an order of French Toast and even that was so good,  that I don't think I ever want to make it at home again...we'll just go there. So where is this place? What is this place?
It's called "Let's Eat ...Where Friend's Meet"
And, for you locals, it is just a short scenic drive away. So I highly suggest you head on over to Portage and check it out. And tell Janet that your good friend Heather sent you. ;)

Next week's challenge is: captioned. Hmm...I'm going to have to think about that one.

It's Foto Friday again! This week's challenge was hands. As you are probably beginning to expect with me, I couldn't decide which picture to post, so I put my favorites. :)

I love these hands! Especially when they're firmly holding onto the truths in the Bible.

The next best treat for hands to hold: Baby feet.  :)

Next week's challenge is: edible. Hmmm...

Will you be my Valentine? Well, this little girl ADORES her Daddy...so do I! I'm not going to write and tell everyone how he spent all of Valentine's Day taking care of his sick wife and four children, or how he took three of the kids and did all the grocery shopping, or how he did the laundry, made me a delicious bowl of Ramen noodles (the only kind of chicken noodle soup that he knows how to make), drove me to the doctor, got my medicine, fed and cared for us the whole day and following days until I was well, took the day off work just to help and take care of me...I'm not going to tell everyone that because I might embarrass him. He gives up so much for us and in my opinion he puts many to shame by the way he gives up his life for his bride, except for the Lord Jesus who is our greatest example.
Thank you Tyson! I love you so much!

Next week's challenge is hands...hmm...I might have a good one for that!

Warming...this certainly was a challenge for me. I had a few ideas and here are my best attempts. I have to admit that the first photo, while I set everything up and made sure the angle and everything looked good, I had to have Lucy push the button for me. :) The second was all on my own. So...when I thought of warming, I mostly thought of books, blankets and knitting. The top photo is of my first ever attempt at knitting socks which when finished will keep my feet very warm. :) I've only just cast on the toes and knitted a few rows. I'm excited to keep working on them. The second photo captures my favorite rocking chair, a blanket that I crocheted (in college) and some books I'm looking forward to reading...and the lovely bright winter sunlight shining through the many windows in our warm and cozy home.

Next week's challenge: Valentine. Hmm...I'll have to be thinking about that one.

Foto Friday

This week's Foto Friday challenge was "Rainbow". I tried several "rainbow" shots, but wasn't happy with any of them. Finally, I remembered that Selah had this shirt that had many rainbow colors. I guess it could have qualified for last week's stripes challenge too, but I didn't think of it then. This shirt is one that all of our girls have gotten to wear. That's pretty neat I think when the clothes make it that far and still look so cute. :) This was a fun little photo shoot to do with Selah. She is such a sweetie! She did get tired of her picture being taken by the end...especially because she couldn't get a hold of the camera I was dangling in front of her. :) I tried to get a good picture of a mad face, but that
didn't work either. :) Someday I'll get one so that I have proof for others that she does cry.

Foto Friday

This weeks Favorite Foto Friday Challenge was stripes. As I was going, I wasn't sure if I was really getting any good ones. Now that I'm done, I can't decide which one I like the best. Probably this first one of Jude, but I had to post all of them for you to see. :) Gotta love these little blessings from the Lord. Truly a gift.  Now that we're on the subject of stripes, it's funny how they're all around us...I can't help but think of Isaiah 53:5 which says, "with His stripes we are healed", our sin marked His body, then by grace, He leaves His mark on us to cleanse us, to remove all other marks of sin. Then, from a different angle, our lives are changed by the mark our children make on us, and as for us mothers, our bodies are literally changed forever, altered by the stripes covering our bellies that stretched to bear these children. Not going to share and photos of those today, so don't worry. :)

Seein' Spots!

I'm joining my friend in this Foto Friday Challenge created by Rebecca. Every week there is a challenge to do or you can simply put in one of your favorite photos from the week. Since my wonderful husband totally surprised me with a new camera for Christmas...a small, simple, point and click camera that I can actually use...probably one that many would consider a downgrade compared to what I used to use...the old camera just got too smart for me...or maybe I'm just too distracted and impatient to study and learn it better now that I am privileged enough to chase four kiddos into any of the shots...anyway, I figured this would be a great challenge for me especially since I really enjoy taking pictures again! So, this week's challenge was spots. Can you see the spots? They're on her pajamas. I know it is hard to see past those big eyes! So, I'm pretty pleased with my first attempt. :) not that I'm bragging in any way!! We're so thankful for this little spot in our life! God is good!
Next's week challenge is stripes!
